The company has completed a wide range of successful projects that have drawn media recognition in Massachusetts and beyond. Roy MacDowell brings in-depth experience to his work with his company, as well as to his responsibilities as a principal in the Massachusetts real estate management and development firm Baystone Development.
Roy MacDowell’s track record includes having personally developed over 2 million square feet of commercial property including more than 3,500 housing units. Baystone Development has received accolades for multifamily projects such as the Cronin’s Landing Apartments in Waltham. The Harvard Graduate School of Design built a case study around the Cronin’s project, noting how the development drove neighborhood revitalization in the area.
Roy MacDowell’s accomplishments also include past service as a board member and director of Sterling Bank in Waltham. During his tenure with the bank, he was instrumental in increasing its assets from approximately $250 million to more than $1 billion before a successful merger with Fleet Bank of Massachusetts.
